Rent a Car Chania

The driving licence that is required to rent a car in Chania is Valid International or National licence, provided that it has been issued by at least one year ago.

The minimum age limit for car rental in Chania from our company is 23 years.

If you rent a car in Chania and want to pick it up or return it at Chania Airport, Rethymno or Heraklion, there are the following extra charges:

Pick-up from Chania Airport: has an extra charge of 10€

Return to Chania Airport: has an extra charge of 10€

Pick-up and return to Rethymno: has an extra charge of 30€

Pick-up and return to Heraklion: has an extra charge of 40€

When renting a car in Chania, we offer Personal Accident Insurance as an option at 3€ per day for the driver and the car passengers.

In case of accident or any other incident with the rental car in Chania or anywhere else on Crete island, the customer is responsible to follow the insurance procedure as set out below:

a) Take photos of the accident

b) Call the police.

c) Obtain names and addresses of any witnesses.

d) Do not accept any responsibility or fault for the accident, until the police has found the guilty party.

e) Contact immediately by phone or other way, the lessor.

f) Obtain all relevant information from the third party or parties (car number, names etc).

g) Complete and sign an accident report within 24 hours from the time of the accident

h) Send any other documents or information relative to the accident to the lessor.

Ferrying the rental car is allowed only upon our company’s written authorisation.
